S. Rajagopalan received his Bachelor of Technology degree (Chemical Engineering) from IIT Delhi, Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore and Ph.D from IIT Kanpur. He was the Chief Executive Officer of the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology from 1982 to 1993 and was involved managing innovations that addressed the problems of Karnataka. In 1993 he and his colleagues founded Technology Informatics Design Endeavour (TIDE), a non-profit development society which focused on developing and disseminating technologies that were economically attractive, environmentally sustainable and socially acceptable in rural areas of Karnataka. He was its Chairman till 2007. For his work in TIDE (www.tide-india.org), he was awarded the Ashoka Fellow (1994), Fellow of the Salzburg Seminar (1999), one of the four finalists of Social Entrepreneur of India award (2006) and one of the 50 change makers of India chosen by India Today Magazine (2008). TIDE was awarded the International Green Oscar - the Ashden Award in 2008. Dr. Rajagopalan joined the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore as a Professor in July 2008. His areas of interest included innovation dissemination, Geographical Information systems, and urban mobility. He was a founder Director of the IIITB Innovation Centre, which aimed at incubating and promoting innovations in the area of Information and Communication Technologies. He retired from the services of the Institute in June 2020 and continues to be a honorary visiting faculty. He leads the MOSIP( Modular Open Source Identity Platform ) project since 2018

Dr Ashok Hanjagi, currently serving as the Professor in the Department of Geography and Geoinformatics, Bangalore University has significantly contributed in various facets of the academic and research activities as one of the dynamic and competent leaders. One of his major contributions was in developing the Department as the unique and model department not only for generating the highly qualified students in the area of Geography but also in the area of advanced technology of space technology and its utilisation for national development. His contribution has helped in renaming the “Department of Geography”, into “Department of Geography and Geoinformatics”, by the University, in the similar lines of international academic institutions. He played a pivotal role in initiating the new programme of Geoinformatics, which is unique one of its kind in the entire Bangalore University. He also took lead role in setting up of Remote Sensing and GIS laboratory with high-end computing systems and other relevant facilities. With this new programme (Diploma in Geoinformatics / Post Graduate Degree in Geoinformatics) many students have got benefited especially from the students from rural areas. Dr Ashok has served as the Head of the Department during 2016-18 timeframe. Apart from regular teaching for students and guiding the research scholars, he served as “Course Director” for many of the technical training programmes, workshops and outreach programmes towards generating skilled manpower in the area of Space technology and its utilisation, sponsored by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The successful conduct of the programme has helped in getting regular and sustained support from ISRO. Dr Ashok Hanjagi has organised many international / national conferences in the topics of relevance to national development. He served / serving as the Principle Investigator / Co-principle investigator for many of the research projects sponsored by various national and state agencies. He has served / serving as Chairman/ Members in many of the committees not only within the University but also committees constituted by other major academic institutions, state and national agencies. Worked as a member in the Water Policy of Karnataka State Government as an expert in Geography field. During his Chairmanship of the Department, UGC SAP-DRS - II programme was approved with the funding support and he continued to coordinate the activity. He is now working as NAAC Peer-Team member for visits to Universities and colleges for accreditation & analysis. He established the Union of Geographic Information Technologists (UGIT) as a registered professional body with global memberships. He is the Chief Editor of (i) International Journal of Geographical Analysis and ii) International Journal of Geo Eye. He has large number of publications to his credit as the lead author in national and international journals. He worked as Australian Endeavour Executive Award -2009 in Sydney University, Australia for a month. Dr Ashok is a serious environmentalist and organizing several programmes like Environmental Day, Earth Day, Biosphere Day, Soil Day, Ozone Day, etc with active participation of his students. Major goal of Ashok Hanjagi: To serve academia, environment and community. To achieve the goal, he wishes to become Vice Chancellor as he has required ability and qualifications. Once he gets through, he wants to achieve the goal by adopting the best practice methods along with his experience. He is already serving as one of the Mentors in NEP on Pro-bono basis.

Gopal Naik is Jal Jeevan Mission Chair Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, India. After completing PhD in agricultural economics, University of Illinois he served as a faculty member at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, India, during 1988–2003. He has been teaching graduate courses on research methodology, econometrics, and managerial economics. He works in the area agriculture policy, agribusiness and natural resources management. Bluecatpaper produces sustainable handmade paper and paper products. The paper produced is upcycled and recycled without cutting down a single tree. They use the pulp of cotton rags, linen rags, coffee husk, banana fiber, mulberry, corn husk, elephant poo, bagasse, vetiver grass, ragi, tea waste, and flax fiber to name a few. They also manufacture handmade paper products for home, gifting, and packaging. Their products are 100% environment-friendly. She finds exciting synchronicity between nature, plant fiber, and papermaking.

Professor Anil K Gupta is a visiting faculty, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; after teaching there for four decades, and at IIT Bombay. He is the Founder of The Honey Bee Network, National Innovation Foundation, , SRISTI and GIAN. He is a CSIR Bhatnagar Fellow (2018-21) and fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2004 for his contributions to management education.
His mission is to expand the global as well as local space for innovations from and for grassroots, link ideas in informal and formal sector; to ensure recognition, respect and reward for creative communities, individuals, children and tech students etc., and to augment open innovations by individuals, institutions, corporations, and countries through frugal, flexible and friendly empathetic platforms.
One of his most popular courses is Shodh Yatra, (meaning 'research walk'), under which he took management students to different parts of the country to learn from local communities and study their knowledge systems.This course was derived from his larger concept of walking through the length and breadth of the country, interacting with farmers, traditional knowledge holders, grassroots innovators, innovative students, etc. He has pursued 43 Shodhyatras, learning walks in every state of India once covering more than 5000 km during 1998-2016 and has started the second round from 2017 onwards along with Honey Bee Network volunteers.

Shri Umamaheswaran R is the former Scientific Secretary and current head of human flight mission of ISRO. He has made significant contributions to the system integration, checkout and avionics of ISRO’s launch vehicles viz PSLV, GSLV & GSLV-MkIII. He has been the Chief Designer (Integration) of major sub-assemblies including Equipment Bay of the Launch vehicle. Many of the mission critical circuits residing in the vehicle including the entire pyro chain for all the three launch vehicles have been designed by him. Over the years, he has evolved as a domain expert in the field of system electrical integration, checkout, ground station and avionics. He was also the Vehicle Director for the remarkably successful GSLV D5/GSAT-14 Mission with the indigenous cryo-stage.
He completed B Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum in 1985, MS in Software System from BITS, Pilani in 2007 and MA in Russian Language from Kerala University in 1996. He joined VSSC in 1987.
He took over the assignment of Project Director, GSLV with effect from July 1, 2014. As Mission Director of the GSLV-D6, GSLV F05 & GSLV F09 Missions, he led the entire ISRO Team and successfully accomplished the missions. This has been the first hattric success of GSLV missions under a single project team. He also lead the Operational Launch Vehicle Team of Avionics Production, Hardware Production, Structural analysis and Control guidance to enable & successfully deliver the products for the increased frequency of PSLV, GSLV and GSLV Mk III missions.
Subsequently he was assigned with the charge of Deputy Director, Avionics with effect from 29th May, 2017. As DD, AVN, he led a team of young enterprising Engineers, for the development of miniaturised avionics, performing the crucial role in making key decisions to overcome the various technical intricacies and mitigate developmental constraints in the realisation of these systems. He also spearheaded the induction of Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems in L40, GS2 & S200 EGC systems for the coming missions. From May 4th 2018 onward, he has taken charge as Associate Scientific Secretary, ISRO HQ and as Scientific Secretary, ISRO from August 1st onward.
He has been awarded ISRO Individual Merit Award-2013, ISRO Team Awards-2006 for PSLV and in 2014 for GSLV and ISRO Outstanding Achievement Award for 2018. He also received the ASI-ISRO award for the year 2016. He is the life member of Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), Systems Society of India (SSI), and Indian Society for Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (ISAMPE). He is also the recipient of Honoris Causa from the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai (2019). He is the National Vice President for Indian Society of Systems, Science and Engineering (ISSE) and the President of ISSE Bangalore Chapter. He became a corresponding member of the International Academy of Astronautics in 2019.

She completed her bachelor's in Botany from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai; master's in Botany from M S University, Baroda (with specialisation in Forestry and Environment); and PhD in Ecology and Environmental Sciences from Pondicherry University.
Prior to joining CSTEP, she worked as a Consultant Scientist at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. Her areas of interest include climate change vulnerability, land-based mitigation, and adaptation/resilience building or climate-proofing development to climate change.
Indu is on the Governing Board of South Asia Consortium for Interdisciplinary Water Resources Studies (SaciWATERs). She is an expert with the UNFCCC Roster of Experts for India (for GHG Inventory), and a member of the REDD+ Cell constituted by the Government of Karnataka. My passion for applying Technology across domains in battling Climate Change helped me disrupt the Electric Mobility space at SUN Mobility by delivering the world’s first Unified Software IoT Edge Compute Platform for Electric Vehicle Li-Ion Battery Swapping and Charging for Electric Buses, Electric Scooters and Electric Rickshaws. This is currently deployed in production/trials in India and Sri Lanka. DeepRoot builds mail servers and clusters, provides hosting & support for a variety of Free Software tools and helps organisations of all sizes choose self-hosting for their infrastructure in general.
Abhas also leads a hardware venture called Mostly Harmless, where he experiments with and builds Libre and Liberated Hardware (like hackable mechanical keyboards, liberated computers, home automation solutions and more. The goal is to build and sell hardware and put owners in control of their lives by enabling them to run free/libre software on more hardware than usually possible.
Mostly Harmless operates the LibreTech.Shop - India’s first store for hackable and ethical products that offer convenience.
Abhas is a member of the Free Software Foundation, India working group and has been a participant in the community in India for many years. He advises colleges, govt / defence organisations and start-ups on using, building and adopting free software as a “way of life”.
